We had a supermodel in the house! Miranda!  We had a great time photographing Miranda, she was eager to try anything and had some pretty cool clothes.  The fields are starting to get a bit sparsed this time of year, but everywhere we went in town, we found flowers that matched her tops and dress, how ironic is that?!  Usually it's the other way around, where we can't find just the right color mix of flowers!

We stopped on Sunnyside and found a pretty patch of geraniums that matched and then some more downtown and on North Hill.  Then went to a very recent find, a tall mountain of crystal salt that makes for a pretty impressive background. 

Miranda was great to get to know too!  We had met her last year when we photographed her sister, Sarah, and I remember then how excited Miranda was for her very own session.  So, it was a pretty big honor for Rachel and I that we were able to be a part of Miranda's senior year too!  Miranda loves to build things and plans to go to Iowa State to attend their architecture program.  We wish you the best Miranda and have an awesome year ahead of you!

This girl has style...we loved working with her SWEEEET shoes and the colors in her outfit, and decided to glam this one up a bit.

One of my favorite spots is the ivy tree on North Hill, and the colors were especially beautiful with her purple dress...Love it!

This is one of my favorite shots of Miranda...we got her all set up, the lighting was great and right when we started to take the image, the wind blew...can't get any better than that!

It's hit and miss when it comes to graffiti on trains, but we found one that was settled and were able to capture this image froma  distance...I like!

Oh Bailie!!!  I loved her, just like her friend Jess, another senior we had fun hanging out with last week, said we would! She's so full of life and energy and I felt like we had been buddies for a long time because she was so friendly and laid back.  And she's definitely beautiful to boot!  We are so lucky to have such wonderful seniors, I tell ya!

She plans to play ball through college and become a vet! I know she would be wonderful with animals, but she has a wonderful personality for people too so we'll see!  Have a great senior year Bailie and I'm so happy to have met you this summer!

It's all about color for this girl!  And I think it's true talent to be able to match tie die shirt and shoes.  So cute!

This was one of the images at Starr's Cave...I love the lighting through here and I think she looks so pretty!

The heels were stepping out of the box for Bailie, she's much more comfy in her tennis shoes for sure!  But I love the zebra with her outfit and I think she looks awesome!

So I've just got to share this guy with you, for those that don't know him yet!  I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Connor better during his senior session.  And I found out, that he's got to be one of the most amazing guys I've met! 

Connor is a senior at Notre Dame, but has the heart and passion of someone well beyond his years.  He is passionate about his beliefs and helping others through his church, Messiah Lutheran.  For the past year, Connor has traveled and worked on projects that are one step further to making our world a better place.  Connor is going big and with his heart, I just know he will make this place that much better to live for everyone.  He reminds me of a good friend I had in college that has a true passion for not only photography, but mission work to constantly help others in need.  AMAZING. 

Connor, it was truly an honor meeting and working with you and I wish you so much for the future ahead of you.  Have a great senior year!

Since Messiah Lutheran is such a big part of Connor's life, we decided to photograph some of his senior images right there where it all started.  Connor volunteers much of his time here to help others who need him.

I love this of Connor!  He has such a fun and upbeat personality and this says it all.

So we traveled through a jungle (literally) to get this shot...but I think it's pretty cool!

Talk about some amazing features Ali!  Way to go, you're images turned out gorgeous!  She loves leopard print and we had just the thing for her!  We headed downtown for some edgier shots for her outfits and also found a really neat courtyard for some pretty floral images.

To finish off, we headed over to BHS's softball diamond to photograph her in her element...as pitcher for the varsity team.  We got some pretty sweeeeet stuff!!!

I love this alley downtown...the lighting is awesome coming in and overhead...and the wind just made it that more amazing!

This is me stepping out of my box!  We found this mountain of rock salt and tried out some pretty sweet stuff with off camera flash...I like it!

We were trying to think of ways to show off her pitching skills...I like!

Sandra is beautiful.  She had a supermodel session with Rachel and I and she did great!  I loved her long hair and it looked gorgeous curly and straight!  We took Sandra downtown with her outfits, and even managed to get into an old towing business for some backyard shots that turned out pretty cool. 

Sandra has been playing the saxophone since eighth grade, so it was fun to incorporate that into her senior pictures as part of who she is.  Plus, we loved her dress and the background that went with it!

I loved this background with her subtle red bow!  We found this downtown as well, and received many stares during the shoot, but she looked great!!

One of my favorite images from her session...I love the jewel tones against her skin and hair color and I love how her beautiful her features are here!!

I absolutely love this set with her outfit!  This is one of my favorite  new backgrounds and she looks breathtaking in it!

Jessica was a blast to photograph last week!!!  Always smiling and laughing, she is a photographer's dream!  She has such a fun loving personality and we couldn't have had a better day and model to work with! 

Jessica plans to become a nurse and move to Des Moines after graduation...moving on up from the small town girl we got to know!

We loved the pattern in Jess's top and found this very cool background in downtown Burlington...a drive thru bank...who knew?!

I loved her casual look here and I don't think we could have found a cooler place...this is an old wrecking ball down by the river...so cool!!!

A big Cubbies fan, Jess had to bring along a jersery from her favorite Chicago Cub's player, Soriano. 

It's never to early to think fall...I love this cuddly look of Jess's!  That hat is perfect!

GORGEOUS!  Sam has beautiful features and stunning blue eyes!  She was great to work with, letting us go and do just about anything we wanted!  She's a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, so it was fun to photograph the more casual, silly side of Sam.  Man we are blessed with awesome seniors!  Great work Sam!

Shawna was a blast to hang out with Thursday! We went to some pretty cool places downtown and found some very sweet backgrounds to match her outfits! I was pretty excited to have Shawna come to us this year since we had so much fun photographing her with her sister, Shaye, during her senior session last year. I loved Shawna's cute looks though and it was great getting to know her better. See you again soon Shawna!!

I knew Danielle when she was just a little girl!  It was fun photographing her senior session! Who knew after all those years, I would get to do that?!  Danielle is the catcher for her softball team at BHS, so we headed to their dugout for some neat images in her gear.   Then we headed on downtown in her fun plaid dress and edgy yellow top.  What a fun session and thank you Danielle for letting me be a part of your senior year!

I love her serious look here mixed with a girly twist in her background.

Bethany is very sweet and soft spoken. She pretty much let us do our thing, and was very laid back in what she wanted to do during her supermodel session. So, we took her on location to one of our favorite fields for her pretty sundress and then downtown for her casual looks. I even loved her studio images because her dress outfit was classy and her casual outfit was simple and really brought out her beautiful features. Great work Bethany! Can't wait for you to see the rest!

I love this look on Bethany.  Her vest gave her a sophisticated and preppy look and we found this old house downtown that was the classic red brick.  Love it!

I like her sporty look here too...perfect find since it's her school colors!

Rachel gave Bethany's hair a twist with an updo...I love it, she looks so beautiful and this is such a classic image.  Yay!

Wow is all I can say about Cleo!  Such a sweetheart and she has some of the cutest looks I've ever seen!  I loved photographing her session and you almost just can't get a bad picture out of this girl!  She looks like a movie star from the 50's...but I'm still trying to figure out who!  And no, not Shirley Temple, Cleo! :)

Cleo found this dress in London on her summer trip to Europe!  I loved the colors and letters in her outfit, not to mention the shoes!  So, we decided to get a grapevine and stone look that one would find in Europe and our version just happens to be Cobblestone Alley in Burlington!

I loved Megan!  She was a natural in front of the camera and has a beautiful smile!  She had some neat outfits and we were able to match them up perfectly with our locations and different backgrounds.  She's  a busy girl this summer with work so we were pretty excited to have been able to spend the afternoon with her. I really enjoyed J.T.'s session this morning...I have found someone else who appreciates shoes as much as me!  I think we counted 29 pairs of Nikes ... I actually thing he should be a spokesman for NIKE, I wonder if they realize that yet...

We headed out to the track at BHS and tried out some different images and techniques and I liked the outcome!  There was a storm that rolled in this morning and we were able to get a few clouds that were left over from then.  Very cool, especially with all the shoes!

J.T. plans to go into business maybe and his destination college is still a bit up in the air.  I know you'll do great J.T.!  I had fun with you and I know you'll have a great senior year and I can't wait to see what you decide to do afterwards!
