Abbey was soo much fun! Not only is she gorgeous, but she had tons of neat ideas and was such a blast to photograph. From hello kitty to multi colored lollipops, we had tons of color to pop in! We braved the cold weather and went downtown and also found some untainted snow, it was great! Abbey has been shadowing an elementary teacher this year and is thinking of going to school for teaching. I think she'd be perfect for the part! Take a peek at our favs!

So sweet!

Elle!  What a great spirit Elle has!  She was so sweet and up for anything for picture ideas.  We took lots inside the studio and then braved the blizzard of '09 (that's what everyone called it anyway!)  It was so cold and with the wind chill, it nearly took our breath away! But, man was it beautiful that day...the sun peeking through the foggy clouds and the snow blowing all around us, it was AMAZING!  Despite not being able to feel our bodies when we were done, we ended up with some pretty fun stuff!

We love Kaitlyn!  I was so happy to be able to capture her senior pictures, especially since we have grown to know and love her big sis Joscelyn.  Many of you may already know her because Joscelyn was our year intern last year and still works for us now and then assisting us in photoshoots.  Kaitlyn is so cute though and looks a lot like her sister we think!

Kaitlyn was rained out on her outdoor session at first, but her reshoot was COLD, but we got some pretty SWEET stuff I thought! Check out her images!

What a handsome guy Gil is! He had such a wonderful personality too! He is our first senior to come from Columbus Junction which was also very cool! Gil plans to stay close to home but would like to attend a college where he can continue to wrestle or play football. His passion is in wrestling and football and we had a lot of fun capturing that about him. We took him downtown for his pictures and found some pretty cool spots, check it out!

Brilee is BEAUTIFUL!  We had so much fun together, because she is so easy going and laid back, we were able to go anywhere and try anything!  Rachel and I did her supermodel session, but the first time we were rained out all day!  The next afternoon was beautiful though and we were able to get some pretty colorful images outside at Crapo Park and downtown.

Danielle is absolutely gorgeous!  I love her big hazel eyes and she's just so darn cute!  Rachel and I loved her easy going, bubbly personality and it was doing her hair and makeup and photographing her through downtown! 

Danielle LOVES to model and dreams of one day getting into it professionally. I had fun with her last year and was excited to be able to capture her senior portraits as well!  We went to Crapo Park to the horseshoe where she likes to hang out in her free time. 

One of my favorite images was of her with her stiletto heels, she had so many of them!  A girl's gotta have her shoes!

So cute!

Wow, Miss Natalie!  Love her!  Natalie and her mom and I had soo much fun during her senior session last week.  Those girls are crazy fun and we had a great time tromping through the trails of Starrs Cave, hanging from the bridge, climbing on rocks, rummaging through wheat grass...etc, etc...!  We just laughed and laughed the entire time and I had so much fun!  It was tough narrowing our picks down so we can't wait for you to see the rest!

I LOVE this!  Love the colors, her expression and her hair!  It was tons of fun posing and playing around with her hair throughout the session!

What a cutie Maggie is!  Rachel and I had tons of fun photographing her session last week.  We took her with her guitar downtown on Washington Street in front of Cobblestone Classics next to Snake Alley and let her play her little heart out!  It was so fun! 

She had a stunning dress as part of her outfits and played in the street on Jefferson Street downtown.  It was fun capturing her personality in front of the old lamp posts and street signs. 

Maggie dreams of going to school in Nashville after graduation but is still pondering staying close to home.  She loves music and singing and would love creating lyrics for songs.  I think she looks the part pretty well from her pictures!

Love it!

Matt was great to photograph!  He was such a trooper and did whatever we asked and he looked good modeling!  We incorporated his love of football into his senior portraits and we were able to go down to Bracewell Stadium where he just finished up his high school football career.  Maybe that's not such a bad thing, because this poor guy got banged around a bit on the field this year and suffered a concussion and hurt his shoulder. 

Matt, you're awesome!  Thanks for letting us be a part of your year!

What a beautiful and fun girl Kelsey is!  She was full of energy for her session and it was so much fun!  We took her through downtown Burlington to photograph against garages, a wheatfield and throughout some historical neighborhoods on the North side of Burlington.

Kelsey is a huge Cubs fan and came in with must be the cutest tee ever made for Cubs!  She covers second base for the Chargers and of course had to get her in her gear!

I had the honor of photographing Cassie's senior portraits and getting to know her and her mother, Aleta better.  What a sweet family they are!  Rachel and I made a road trip with baby Belle to the Quad Cities to capture Cassie and her hometown, while Belle played with her Auntie Megan and cousins.

Cassie, I learned, is such a neat spirit, and was raised just to be so.  She dreams of attending Northwestern and has prioritized her high school years just for it.  I think it is so neat to see that much commitment and motivation from a teenager and I know that her drive now will take her far into her future. 

Rachel and I saw a side of the Quad Cities that neither of us had seen before!  We drove across bridges, back and forth between the cities to capture all sorts of different backgrounds and angles.  We explored the Village of East Davenport, photographed her in the church her father was a minister for, Two Rivers United Methodist, for some keepsake photographs, and other various shots in downtown Rock Island as well as downtown Davenport.  Whew!  And we still didn't cover all the territory!  But came pretty close.  We are so grateful to Cassie and Aleta for showing us their town and excited to shoot there again soon!

How adorable is Lexi!  She was just the sweetest and it was so fun posing her, because everything we did with her looked cute!  She had some fun outfits and we had just enough leaves left to pop some color in her portraits.  She loves cheerleading and has just about every Hawkeye signature tee ever made, compliments of her mama!

What a riot Travis was!  I think we laughed the entire session!  We had a blast photographing Travis both in the studio and out on location with his guitar.  If anyone is ever having a bad day, hang out with Travis, he'll turn it around in no time flat. 

Travis not only has a great sense of humor but also loves music, mostly country, but thats ok!  playing guitar, driving his sweet truck, he's into all sorts of various sports AND works the family business.  Busy guy!  I can't wait to photograph his on location session at his home too, see you soon Travis!
